About Us

About Attorney Robert R. McGill

I am an Attorney who represents Federal and Postal workers from all across the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Europe, Japan, the Philippines, etc.  I have been practicing Federal Employee Disability Retirement Law for over 25+ years.

FERS Disability Retirement is a “paper presentation” to the U.S. Officer of Personnel Management.  If the application is denied twice — both at the Initial Stage of the process as well as at the Second, Reconsideration Stage — then an appeal can be filed with the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board.

My educational background and experience make me uniquely qualified in this field of law, and I believe that this is the reason why I enjoy a high rate of success in getting my clients approved — at all three stages of the process.  I charge a “flat fee”, that is, a one-time fee not based upon an hourly rate; so my clients know up front what I charge.

I earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the Catholic University of America and graduated at the top of my class, summa cum laude. I then went on to do graduate work at the University of Virginia, and completed all course work for a Masters in Philosophy.  Thereafter, I went to Law School and graduated from the Columbus School of Law, earning my Juris Doctor Degree.

My background and training in logic, analytical thought, writing technical philosophical treatises, and earning further training in the Law has prepared me to practice Administrative Law, where the majority of legal argumentation is through paper submissions and transactions.  Persuasive argumentation, logical delineation and legal analysis are the tools for a successful outcome in representing Federal and Postal workers to obtain their Federal Disability Retirement benefits.

It is a passion of mine, and my clients will attest to the thoroughness of my work.

Sincerely,

Robert R. McGill, Esquire
Federal Disability Attorney
